Hurricane Katrina strikes again: Error-prone Trump staffer claims Hillary has brain damage

Hurricane Katrina strikes again.

Donald Trump’s embattled national spokesperson, Katrina Pierson, has a difficult relationship with the truth.

That’s a nice way of saying that Pierson has a habit of saying things that are so divorced from reality, you start to wonder if she’s actually working for the Clinton campaign.

Among recent whoppers, Pierson claimed that President Obama invaded Afghanistan in 2001, even though during the invasion in 2001 Obama was a simple state senator back in Illinois, and George Bush was president.

Pierson also recently claimed that President Obama and Hillary Clinton killed the Khan family’s hero son in Iraq in 2004, even though at the time Obama was yet again a state senator, and Hillary was the US Senator from New York.

Both Afghanistan and Iraq were President Bush’s fault.

Pierson keeps getting things so wrong she’s created her own Internet meme: #KatrinaPiersonHistory

And now Pierson is claiming that she had a medical degree, or x-ray vision, or something, and she’s diagnosed Hillary Clinton with a very specific brain disease — just cuz.

Trump has been pushing the “Hillary is sick” conspiracy for several days now. (Clinton is of course fine, and has been cleared by the doctors repeatedly.) As Trump has a habit of projecting — blaming his opponents for things that define himself — this further calls into question Trump’s health.

To MSNBC’s credit, they called Katrina out on her “debunked” conspiracy theory.

Welcome to Donald Trump’s reboot. It’s as bad as the original boot. Just as racist, sexist, and homophobic — and actually now a bit more so, with the hire of Breitbart’s cofounder to run the entire campaign.

So while Pierson already had a record of being an absolute nutjob, her newest zaniness could be intentional. We could be witnessing the new Trump campaign, now that one of the worst right-wing — “white nationalist,” per CNN’s Brian Stetler — bloggers is running it.

What’s particularly disturbing is that the Trump campaign promised there would be no more eruptions out of Pierson two eruptions ago. It appears to playing loose with the truth on the Trump campaign isn’t a glitch, it’s a feature.

No but I have friendws on Capitol Hill who do say things are up, but they’re also in the dark. There are rumors swirling even on the liberal side and have been since 2009.

  2. Moderator4 says:

Stop calling people you disagree with “fool.”

  3. Jeff Ryan says:

Yeah. She told you she’s covering? Have the other people present told you she’s covering? Has anyone present even contradicted her?

Actually, don’t know why I bother. Fool.

  4. heimaey says:

Wrong about most of these. I’ve worked in government and on Capitol Hill and helped out with a few political campaigns which is why I know she’s covering up for Hillary. Don’t be so naive.

  5. Bill_Perdue says:

It means that I accept scientific evidence, which make your rightist politics even more irrelevant, something I wouldn’t have thought possible.

“A new scientific study from Princeton researcher Martin Gilens and Northwestern researcher Benjamin I. Page has finally put some science behind the recently popular argument that the United States isn’t a democracy any more. And they’ve found that in fact, America is basically an oligarchy.
Comparing the preferences of the average American at the 50th percentile of income to what those Americans at the 90th percentile preferred, as well as the opinions of major lobbying or business groups, the researchers found out that the government followed the directives set forth by the latter two much more often. It’s beyond alarming.

As Gilens and Page write, ‘the preferences of the average American appear to have only a minuscule, near-zero, statistically non-significant impact upon public policy.’ In other words, their statistics say your opinion literally does not matter.”

”The government we have is not a democracy. It’s nowhere close. Instead, a corruption in the very idea of a representative democracy has rendered our nation almost ungovernable. We have entered the age of the “vetocracy,” as political theorist Francis Fukuyama puts it, where very small numbers in America can block almost any sensible change. – Gridlock happens not because Americans want it. Gridlock happens because it pays — for that tiny minority.

  6. Moderator3 says:

You have expressed your thoughts well, and you are able to pull in many facts. You really seem to know what you are talking about. These type of arguments never accomplish much. They may very well be beneath you.

  7. Jeff Ryan says:

Your evidence for this, fool? Oh, I’m sorry, you’re one of those wink-wink, nudge-nudge people who has 1) Never worked in government, 2) Never been a legitimate journalist, 3) Never worked in a political campaign, and 4) Never requires evidence because you already just know.

In other words, you’re a know-nothing, fact-free, bona fide idiot.

Later, fool. Life’s too damned short for ignorant fools like you.

  8. heimaey says:

Well anyone can be paid off!

  9. heimaey says:

How is a Warhawk who is in bed with the banks a liberal? You’ve shifted and you don’t even know it. Sure, she is liberal on some social issues – after she’s pushed there dragging, kicking and screaming but sorry mr. 60 year old liberal – she ain’t a liberal. Go ask the Middle East how liberal she is. SMDH ya’ll lost your damn minds.

  10. Jeff Ryan says:

    Here, fool:

This story was reported on many different sites. Which tells me something about where you linger, and where you don’t.

BTW, I’m not doing this for you again. The research is pretty easy. I imagine even you can master an elementary Google search.

  11. Jeff Ryan says:

Yeah, I’ve been a liberal for six decades now, so I don’t need lessons from you.

The fact that you don’t think she is a liberal is pure ignorance.

Otherwise, you’re just a fool drinkin’ the Fox/Trump/Giuliani/Bannon Kool Aid.

  12. heimaey says:

Just because I don’t like Hillary doesn’t make me a Republican. I know it’s hard for a lot of Democrats to understand this but she’s not a liberal (outside of a few social issues). I know it doesn’t fit your binary view of things…but that’s how it is.

  13. heimaey says:

Where? I didn’t see where she said she wasn’t horrofied. Link?

  14. Jeff Ryan says:

Why don’t you read what the reporter said? She did write about this. And she said she wasn’t “horrified.”

So what’s your excuse for lying about that, hmmm?

  15. Jeff Ryan says:

If she had, that would surely be cause for concern. But since she hasn’t, I can only assume that you consider Sean Hannity and Rudy Giuliani

to be medical experts. And her doctor, who, after all, and unlike those two bozos, is an actual physician, is either incompetent or a liar.

Now we know that Trump’s doctor has listed false qualifications. And we know he is a gastroenterologist, which is bizarre, since he claims to have been treating Trump for over 30 years, and the earliest Trump would ever have to see such a specialist would be age 50. And he also tells us Trump’s medical tests were all “positive,” which makes Trump a very, very sick person.

On another topic, how are those tax returns coming? Are they coming?

  16. heimaey says:

Even though she’s had siezures on TV?

  17. heimaey says:

Um the reporter looks horrified. Of course her staff is fine with it – they know what’s going on.

  18. Moderator4 says:

Bill_Perdue, everyone who comments here, or anywhere else on the Internet, for that matter, believes that they are “correct.”
Because they believe it, does not make it so.

  19. Bill_Perdue says:

    It’s useless becasue I’m correct.

  20. Jeff Ryan says:

I have no reason to doubt her doctor.

  21. arleeda says:

I saw the film too, but none of the people in the background look the least bit disturbed over the strange head gesturing, which makes me think they weren’t worried about her health and we shouln’t be either.

  22. Moderator3 says:

Arguing with Bill Perdue is useless. He says the things he does mostly to get a rise from other commenters.

  23. Bill_Perdue says:

    DNC drivel.

  24. heimaey says:

How do you know her health is fine?

  25. Jeff Ryan says:

It simply means you’ve surrendered. You’re out of the civilization now.

You don’t matter. Accordingly, nothing you say means shite.

  26. Jeff Ryan says:

    I’m not lying about anything.

You apparently were not around in the ’90s, and certainly not working in the justice system. And you aggravate your ignorance by blaming her for something she had no control over. But I will tell you this: You have no idea what was going on. It was around this time that I took confessions from two 15-year-olds who had raped and beaten and stabbed to death a 32-year-old woman. And then threw her out a 5th floor window. Wanna know something? This was not all that unusual a crime. Your ignorance knows no bounds. And you seem to forget that the crime rate began falling dramatically then. I am not suggesting the crime bill affected that, because, as you obviously don’t realize, crime is defined mostly by the states and the federal government has fuck all to do with it.

You are a complete ignoramus about this. You are not even worth arguing with.

Oh, and about what I said before? My friends actually knew her in Little Rock, and know of her compassion and friendship. You know nothing.

  27. Bill_Perdue says:

Stop lying, and don’t pretend that at little rebranding means she’s not long a racist and a bigot.

  28. Bill_Perdue says:

Sure it is. It means people don’t fall for D&R lies.

  29. Jeff Ryan says:

    Ah, I’m just being hyper-literal.

  30. Badgerite says:

    Ah. I stand corrected.

  31. Jeff Ryan says:

Not wearing something doesn’t mean she “got rid of it.”

  32. Badgerite says:

    Picture above.

  33. Zorba says:

LOL! “Twatcicle.” I am so stealing that.
It’s even better than douche canoe.

  34. Vic Yepello says:

    Can’t argue that point! ??

  35. Jeff Ryan says:

It’s no such thing, and you are a fool even to raise it. There is nothing wrong with her health. Maybe you should stick to your field of expertise. Assuming you have one.

  36. Jeff Ryan says:

That is not something to be proud of.

  37. Jeff Ryan says:

“Decades of racism”? “Rabid greed”? “Anti-gay bigotry”?

Unlike you, apparently, I know people who have known her for many years, and your descriptions are so off-base as to mark you as ignorant.

And this is important: You don’t know what you’re talking about. And you are offensive, falsely attributing personal traits that don’t come anywhere near the truth.

Ignorance is not an attractive thing. And you are ignorance incarnate.

  38. Jeff Ryan says:

Who says she got rid of it?

  39. Nelson Kerr says:

the more she is on the air the lower support for t Trump gets

  40. Vic Yepello says:

This twatcicle needs to be kept off the air. MSNBC shouldn’t be giving her a bully pulpit.

  41. Bill_Perdue says:

Actually, non-voters get a plurality in most key elections and a majority in many.

  42. Badgerite says:

Well, at least she ( Huricaine Katrina) got rid of her ‘bullet necklace’. There’s that. So,,, there is some improvement. Just not in anything that actually comes out of her mouth.

  43. mf_roe says:

The American elections are little more than joint PEP Rallies. They are exercises in titillating the ignorant and feeding the bias of the intellectually impaired. Both parties chum the waters and reap large catches of followers who are incapable of making an informed decision. A Democracy of fools is the worst of all tyrannies.

  44. Bill_Perdue says:

    So much for Trumps apologies.

The diseases of H Clinton are morbid banksteritis, rebranded anti-gay bigotry, decades of racism and rabid greed. Those are also Trumps diseases.

Their race to the bottom is a gruesome thing to watch.

From Reuters via Political Wire: “Many voters on both sides have been ambivalent in their support for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump, complicating the task of the pollsters trying to track the race.”

“That sentiment may help explain an apparent skew that recently emerged in the Reuters/Ipsos poll results. Given the choice, a relatively large group of voters opted for “Neither/Other” candidate compared with other major polls, leading to an underreporting of several percentage points for one or other of the two major contenders at times in the race.”

“As a result, Reuters/Ipsos is amending the wording of the choice and eliminating the word ‘Neither,’ bringing the option in line with other polls.”

A new Reuters/Ipsos poll finds Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump by six points, 41% to 35%, with another 25% picking “other.” “The presidential tracking poll reflects a slight change of wording from previous surveys, replacing the ‘Neither/Other’ option given to respondents with just ‘Other.’ An internal review had found the word ‘Neither’ has, at times, siphoned support away from one or the other candidate.”

  45. heimaey says:

On a similar note, a more serious note, there are many on the left who are bringing up concerns about some apparent siezures she’s had that are caught on film. I’ve seen the video and I’m convinced that something strange is going on but whether it’s a siezure or not I have no idea. It could be a nervous tick or some type of neural disease but it does appear like something is or was going on with her health.

  46. ButILikeCaves says:

Guess David Barton is her chief adviser…

  47. There’s that glitch in her software showing up again. I wish someone would that bot back to the factory for a complete wipe and reinstall.
