Former Trump aide, current confidant: Khan’s dead son was a terrorist

Longtime Republican political operative, former Donald Trump campaign aide, and current Trump confidant, Roger Stone, last night promoted the theory that U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who died in a car bomb in Iraq in 2004, was a secret Muslim terrorist who joined the US military because he wanted to kill Americans.

In fact, Khan was a hero, who died saving others during Operation Iraqi Freedom. His parents immortalized his story last week during the Democratic Convention.

But that hasn’t stopped Donald Trump, and his friends, from continuing to attack the Khans. First Trump himself attacked the dead man’s grieving mother.

Khizr Khan, with his wife Ghazala, talk at the 2016 Democratic Convention about their son U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who died in 2004 in a car bomb in Iraq at the age of 28.

Khizr Khan, with his wife Ghazala, talk at the 2016 Democratic Convention about their son U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who died in 2004 in a car bomb in Iraq at the age of 28.

Then yesterday, Trump’s confidant, Stone, promoted a bizarre theory that the younger Khan was a traitor.

I am not going to link to the hideous article Stone is sharing on Twitter. In addition to attacking Khan and his father, the article also attacks gay people. (So much for “ask the gays.”)

I will however quote the article Trump’s confidant is sharing:

In regards to [Khan’s] son, many were the ‘Muslim martyrs’ who joined the US military. Ali Abdul Saoud Mohamed, for example, enlisted in the Special Forces of the US Army; he was a double working for the US and Al-Qaeda. There is also the example of Hasan K Akbar, a Muslim American soldier who murdered and injured fifteen soldiers. There was Bowe Bergdahl, an American Muslim soldier who deserted his men to join the Taliban, a desertion which led to six American being ambushed and killed while they were on the search looking for him. And of course the example Nidal Malik Hassan, who murdered fourteen Americans in cold blood in Fort Hood. What about Taha Jaber Al-Alwani, a major Muslim thinker for the Muslim Minority Affairs who called on arming Muslims to fight America? An IMMA (Institute of Muslims Minority Affairs) favorite, Taha Jaber al-Alwani, whom the Abedins say is the source for their doctrine is an ardent anti-Semite who by the way, runs the United States Department of Defense program (out of all places) for training Muslim military chaplains in the U.S. military….

I can go on and on. Is it likely that Khan’s son was killed before his Islamist mission was accomplished? Only another type of investigation will determine that. Do they ever mention how many soldiers have died because of Muslim traitors? Do they ever bring up how many Christians in the US military were killed? Yet the modernists and homosexuals continue to attack Christians. But soon everything we need to know will be uncovered. As we say in the Middle East: the snow always melts and the sh*t under it will soon be revealed.

U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who died in 2004 in a car bomb in Iraq at the age of 28.

U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who died in 2004 in a car bomb in Iraq at the age of 28.

Unbelievable. A top Trump ally, and the former business partner of Trump’s campaign manager Paul Manafort, is promoting the theory that a decorated US war hero is a traitor to America simply because of his religion.

If there are any sane Republicans left, do something.

They took 1.4 Billion dollars that the UN Raised. Put Slick Willy in Charge. The Clinton’s dished out the money to companies based on how much they donated to the Clinton foundation. They did not allow the Haitians to have any input into what was being built. Those companies did not build 10% of what the Clinton’s delegated to be built anyway, some of those things were home to be built on the sides of cliffs. Was not about them raising money for a hospital. It was money stolen, and put in their pocket.

  2. Sam American says:

On paki tv khan refers to his son as a “martyr”. Since he was on talking about sharia law it seems likely that the father was describing his son as dying while working against the infidels. The father seems to have given legs to this story that we would all hope is false.

  3. Colin says:

But there is no evidence that Hillary Clinton, through the Clinton Foundation, raised “hundreds of millions of dollars” for a hospital that was never built.

  4. Colin says:

I wouldn’t hold my breath for a reply marknc , much less an apology.

  5. marknc says:

He is just mimicking what he hears in reich-wing world. Their world is filled with Roger Stone types who spit out lies in an endless stream.

  6. marknc says:

I’m guessing (giving you the benefit of the doubt and not calling you a liar) you remember some ass like the Roger Stone on Fox saying President Obama called him a war hero.

Didn’t happen in the real world.

  7. Moderator3 says:

This is not a book, is it? Why is it underlined?

  13. bluegal says:

But here’s the deal, Colin. They would love for you to call them anything but Republicans. “Tea Party” “Constitutional Conservative” “patriot” — anything to give deniability to what they have voted for enthusiastically in the past. Bush and Iraq, Reagan and Iran/Contra, Nixon and his “secret plan to end the Vietnam War,” Goldwater’s lunacy. Just keep rebranding and they can come back again. Now it’s “Trumpism” which gives party elders not only a way to say “he wasn’t a real conservative” when he loses, but also “HIllary doesn’t have a mandate” because Trump was an “outlier.” NO he isn’t.

  14. bluegal says:

I’d take Nixon over Trump. Nixon actually believed the government had a responsibility to protect the environment and he created the EPA as a result. That’s how far the GOP has declined in morality FROM Nixon…

  15. Butch1 says:

There are some people who should have their citizenship taken away and this is one of them. He should be ashamed of himself, but that would take a conscience. He’s despicable and a coward to have made up something such as that.

  16. Mike Stefan says:

No one is surprised what you consider ‘facts’ – and your comment doesn’t change the validity of my criticism. You’re hypocrites. The ‘hope/change’ meme is pure feelings based – while the poster bloviates about a lack of evidence of a charge, they – and now you – exhibit rank hypocrisy and double down on gross and asinine generalities. It’s hilarious you complain about loosely based anecdotal crap but rush to the defense of a fellow lib who did exactly that.

You make a claim. Now back it up. Let’s see your cite (and let’s try to stay away from poisoned wells, shall we?).

  17. Goldminer says:

I remember Bowe Bergdahl was a War hero according to OBAMA.

  18. sidharta says:

Saying you are a vaile dog would not be enough
To describe you. You and your bosses are a bunch of hicks of the worst kind .
But rest assure comes November you will taste
The humiliation of defeat and the complete rejection of who and what you guys stand for
And how you go about it.

  19. Sean T Gallagher 3/7 says:

you attack a theme While the person above that you attacked ,has stated facts ,So the hope change thing wasn’t good for you OK ,it worked for me and millions more so you attack an un-quantifiable thing while I can give you facts about how MUCH better this country is ,Numbers ,real tangible facts ,NOT your loosely based anecdotal crap about hope and change ,AND it has been scientifically studied that the GOP rank and file voter is far less knowledgeable on International and national affairs are far easier to dupe and far more likely to believe a faked negative story then a genuine real positive story. It is a known fact that 80% of the GOP voter is a fear voter

  20. Sean T Gallagher 3/7 says:

without a single shred of evidence you accuse Hillary …fine she’s a big girl ,she can defend herself.BUT in the real light of day listening every minute to every word trump and pence (who does have a legislative paper trail) and you think Hillary is worse ,Then you are the single stupidest human on the web.I won’t debate you on her past Or future the people will do that BUT trump has a past ripe with fraud ,deceit ,bankruptcies and criminal tax evasion….

  22. Mud says:

Even if you idiots twist this into the ungodly hate you portray it to be, it is not even close to the crimes against humanity Hillary has actually done. Trump and his people again have said mean things about someone blaming them for theoretical situations they had nothing to do with. Hillary has stolen hundreds of millions of dollars out of the hands of 3rd world earthquake victims for her personal gain.. If Trump was president when these people wanted to immigrate, and their country was blocked because we wanted to figure out what was going on. Their country would have made it a priority to figure out it, because when we force their government hand, people react. No radical muslims would be traveling to the USA or they would lose their political privilege again. Their son, not their parents would have volunteered still and died just the same. Without all the other Muslims being here killing American Citizens.

  23. Mike Stefan says:

You really shouldn’t be citing logical fallacies in your post, considering your egregious and idiotic generalization of GOP voters – while ignoring the ‘Hope and Change’ theme from 8 years ago that you lapped up like a kitty does cream.

  24. Demosthenes says:

All that is needed to shipwreck the Donald’s candidacy is for Spkr. Ryan and Sen. McConnell to rescind their support. Don’t hold your breath. They put party above country.

  25. Badgerite says:

GOP is the party of Nixon. Actually worse than that. It is now the party of Nixon’s old operatives.
And they were the ones who did his dirty work for him.

  26. JaneE says:

It is all projection. The right wing GOP wants to destroy America, the very idea of equality before the law and freedom of religion. They have been engaging in sabotage of the government for almost 40 years, if not more. I don’t even want to try to imagine what they would put in America’s place.

  27. DesertSun59 says:

This is a CLASSIC logic fail called conflation. There isn’t any evidence of this charge but GOP voters are not information voters. They ONLY vote with their feelings.

  28. Jimmy says:

As disgusting as this is, there is a huge swath of this country who would believe this. honestly, I think the GOP is resigned to seeing this through. If Trump wins they’ll try to hobble him while in office; if he loses they’ll start preparing for 2020 and make sure they don’t find themselves in this same situation.

  29. Colin says:

I can no longer refer to these people as Republicans. My parents were republican. My father was also a staunch member of the U.A.W. at a time when you could be both because what was good for the business was also good for the workers. I remember republicans. I remember them very well and these are not republicans. They are fascist. And they give their base exactly what they want to keep them agitated , suspicious and mean. We’ve seen this kind of thing before. And those who follow them and make excuses for them are no different than another group in another time who supported a candidate filled with poison.
I resist the thought of calling anyone a Nazi. It is thrown around too easily by some. But only someone unfamiliar with world history could miss the similarities.

  30. Badgerite says:

Beat me to it. 9/11 was the worst terrorist attack on American soil. Timothy McVeigh’s bombing of the Murrah Federal Building was the second worst with a death toll of 168 men, women and children. He was an Iraq War veteran and not a Muslim.

  31. tickticktick says:

On top of everything, Bowe Bergdahl wasn’t Muslim, he’s an Ayn Rand-loving libertarian nutter.

  32. Quilla says:

This shit has got to stop and these turds spewing it have got to be called out.

  33. glennisw says:

They have no bottom. There is no place too low for them to go.

  34. MoonDragon says:

If we don’t mention “Christian” soldiers who die in combat, it’s not because we ignore them. It’s the down side of white, Christian privilege – if not specified, it’s assumed. Shall I now mention Timothy McVeigh and Erick Rudolph?

  35. percysowner says:

I was actually wondering how long it would take the Trump supporters to make this attack, because they are so predictable. It’s sickening and disgusting.

  36. Mike_in_the_Tundra says:

Reading this actually made me sick to my stomach. The Trump people will attack anyone as long as they think it will benefit them.

  37. Baal says:

This is actually amazing. And yet, he will still be on TV.

  38. S1AMER says:

Those closest to Trump are every bit as morally bankrupt as Trump. That’s why they work with him. No news there.
