Trump attacks the Squad

Today’s podcast is devoted to Trump’s racist attacks on the Squad — the four freshmen members of the House (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar and Ayanna Pressley) who have so freaked Trump out that he’s been on a racist rant for days now.

But also, there’s some method to Trump’s madness, as I argue in today’s podcast: He’s effectively changed the conversation from those horrible camps on our borders to his racism (which is a net-plus with the GOP) and the four liberal women (who a lot of Trump voters don’t like).

Cliff and I do a deep dive on this topic, including discussing the growing cold war between the Squad and Nancy Pelosi, and how it doesn’t benefit any of us heading into 2020.

This is a free episode, below. To hear the rest of our shows, and help keep independent media ad-free, please consider becoming a paid subscriber over at Patreon.

And if the spirit moves you, consider donating to the four members of the Squad to help their re-elections next year. I can’t think of a better way to tick off Trump.
